Our custom wood stairs combine timeless craftsmanship with modern design and durability. Ideal for both interior and exterior use, our stairs are built with high-quality wood, expert joinery, and strong structural framing to ensure safety, beauty, and long-lasting performance.

Materials:

  • Framing Lumber:

    • Pressure-treated SPF (Spruce-Pine-Fir) or Douglas Fir for structural framing

    • Moisture- and insect-resistant for outdoor applications

  • Treads & Risers:

    • Interior: Oak, Maple, Birch, or Pine (select or custom grade)

    • Exterior: Cedar, Pressure-Treated Pine, or Composite-topped wood

    • Optional nosing or bullnose edges for safety and finish

  • Stringers:

    • Solid wood (2×12) stringers, custom cut to required rise and run

    • Minimum 3 stringers for standard residential width stairs

    • Reinforced with blocking where needed for added strength

🎨 Finish Options:

  • Interior:

    • Natural, stained, or painted finishes (clear coat or polyurethane available)

    • Smooth-sanded surfaces, ready for staining or paint

  • Exterior:

    • Weather-resistant finishes, stains, or sealers

  • Standard Run: 10″ to 11″ tread depth

  • Built to BC Building Code and local regulations

  • Framed using structural screws or lag bolts — no nails for main load-bearing points

  • Anchored securely to deck or concrete pads

  • Custom-cut angles to ensure level and flush installation

  • Handrails and guards available in wood, metal, or composite combinations

  • Interior Wood Stairs:

    • Regular cleaning and periodic refinishing recommended
